In 2004, as a young girl who once lived with the bare minimum, I became the first woman of colour to win the Miss New Brunswick title. I would go on to become the first woman from New Brunswick to win a Miss Canada International! This was a leadership development opportunity where I learned to support initiatives from various sectors and communities across nationally and become an incredible keynote speaker on international platforms. Leading me to become a United Nations Children's Fund Ambassador-advocating for children in over 190 countries.

I chose to use my first pageant scholarship to complete my Masters in Public Administration.

Since 2005 I have dedicated the past 15 years advocating for children. I have used every title as a platform to raise awareness and advance humanitarian efforts to empower women and help save the lives of the most vulnerable children globally. As a result, my philanthropic work has helped to raise more than $3.4 million dollars, impacting 2.3 million children and women around the world, and giving access to water, sanitation and hygiene programs that provided 4.3 million households access to clean water.
